Weld smaller washers on like others have said then weld a nut to the washer. While it’s white hot throw a liberal amount of water on it and it will probably come out with your fingers. I’ve done this many times to many different brand engines. The only time this did not work was on a Toyota with aluminum head and electrolysis had set in; the bolt would wring off down lower in the head and I was scared dealing with the aluminum also. MIG welders will make a mess of it.
