It was a great idea for the time that was rendered obsolete by the 8xxx Deere's with their better turning radius and later front duals. Big tires all around are overkill for a tractor of that size. The row crop Steigers filled this role and some guys love them. But it seems like every time the MFWD's move up on hp, the row crop Steiger of the same size is discontinued.
