I feel your pain !! Presently working on a 3176 water manifold cover just below the exhaust manifold. Steel bolts threaded into aluminum. Just what does Cat think is going to happen 600,000 miles down the road. At the very least, they could have used anti seize, or better yet, SS bolts with anti seize. I have 3 bolts with the head gone but I have 1/4" of bolt sticking out. If I was you, I would cut a piece of 1" wide stock (1/4" thick ) about about 4" long and drill a 3/8" hole thru on one end and try to weld it on . Then with a small brazing tip, heat up the welded pice to cherry red and let it cool till cold, Then take a small brass or ball pein hammer and just try to tap it back and forth. Hopefully, it will finally give up and turn. Antiseize at assembly time probably would have helped you too ! jeff
