Well, now I am confused. I thought the fuel delivery amount/stroke was determined by pump output, not by the size of the nozzle. I do not doubt what you have found on the dyno, I just don't understand how higher nozzle pressure would reduce fuel delivery in a positive displacement pump system. Would the pumps be leaking by more? did the pump need rebuilt too? just wondering, I always figured a good sharp nozzle would enhance fuel burn, but maybe not. was that on a di motor or pc?
