WC OHIO | I have a 30x70 "Super Structure" with a "Calhoun" tarp cover. The hoops are Truss type with double pipes with gussets welded between them. I have it on a 8 ft. pony wall. The Trusses are on 10ft centers. The west side is closed with metal siding with 3 vent doors/windows. On the east side I enclosed every other opening between the posts with tongue n' groove siding. This building works great. On September 14th, 2008 we had a horrible wind storm. 60-70 mph winds for more than 5 hrs. This building never moved a fraction of an inch.
One of the big advantages I feel is the overhead room. If I ever decide to quit raising cattle I can use it to park machinery in. The heighth at the center is 21 ft. The air stays fresh in this building as well. | |
