We've run a couple New Holland 163 's for quite a few years and there's no durability issues to worry about. Only put teeth and a few other small parts into them. If you buy one I'm sure you'll be happy with it. We have a 169 now which is the 6 rotor version of the 163 but have hardly used it yet.
As for the New Holland being a rebadged Kuhn, that may possibly be. When we got ours 12 years ago the New Hollands and Deere's were the same machine and I don't think either company made them. That doesn't mean its a poor machine though.
