What about brake fluid? Seems like it should not degrade rubber o rings.
Depends on what fluids the O ring material is designed for.
An O ring designed for oil will swell when submerged in brake fluid. It used to be an old trick to dump a little brake fluid in a leaky old power steering system to swell the seals to stop leaks.
