Don't laugh.......had an old time mechanic that had a tube of "Brilcream"(sp), the hair conditioner in his tool box. Said it was the best, safest lube for O-rings. Showed me one time at his shop and it worked like magic. I haven't looked for any in quite a few years......betting they don't make it anymore.
