I have been told not to use vegetable oil on o-rings. Parts man was insistent that corn oil was the only thing that should be used. Before this I wasn't aware that you could buy corn oil in the store. It should be located right next to the vegetable oil.
Can anybody explain why vegetable oil would eat at the rubber and corn oil won't?
