![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=5562&type=profile&rnd=436) Dietrich, Idaho and Mountain Home, Idaho | When I bought my first system(trimble ez guide 500/ez steer) I thought I would try it without the ez steer to see if I really "needed" assisted steering. After the first day of using just the 500 for guidance I quickly learned I "needed" the ez steer. I now have the ez steer with an fmx display(on waas) and use the 500 for the gps source for my cruizer/smartsteer system(the 500 is on omni* xp signal) and don't want to go back to manual steering if I don't have to. Good luck with your decision.
P.S. I also needed to impress my dad with the system to get him on board with using gps and I don't think he would want to use it without the autosteering. He was very impressed after the first day of using it. Just my experience. |
