If you do a search, the insurance industry frowns heavily on the use . ..   there are some stories that the insuracne companies didn't pay for damage caused by the PVC pipe, because it's not rated for such use (airlines).
I know in the different business's I previously worked at, the insurance companies would come in and do a safety audit - They would call out the simplest overlooked / not thought of stuff. But it was to save a life or injury. It saved these companies money to have the audits, because the insurance premiums are based on your business risk assessment  . ....  food for thought
