Subject: Re: PVC Air Lines in a Shop

East Kansas, DeSoto
PVC has the capability to do what is "cold flow". Change shape under constant pressure. The early PVC piping for rural water had to replace or discontinue use as some of the ingredients were leaching out and contaminating. It happened in my area. In one of our plants employees started un loading a railroad tank car of food grade molasses through 4 inch PVC piping system on the night shift and then went back to office. When they came back thousands of gallon of molasses on the floor. This was a problem for the city sewage plant too. Had lot of experience with PVC and went to stainless in almost all cases. Keep bringing up the warnings MIKE. Gifford
