Obviously I was thought of in your post so I will reply.
James may have been influenced by a great source but at the same time, So was doubting thomas and lets not forget judas.
Care about others is not the issue. Of course there is care. Great care for fellow man in the basic same occupation. There does come a time though beating a dead horse is just that. If some won't follow suit for whatever reasoning they have chose, being a thorn in thier side is not going to change thier mind. Piss them completely off (if thats the case) and you'll drive them to do the exact opposite at times.
It's like kids. Let them touch the burner once so they know to stay away from the stove. Just set the heat low so it doesn't blister bad. ;-)
