![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=685&type=profile&rnd=138) NW Tennessee | If we are working in the field, everyone is responsible for bringing their own lunch. We provide individual coolers with ice and drinks and everybody just puts them in whatever machine they are running. Rarely does anyone eat while moving, but a stop any longer than 15 minutes is unusual, too. Been doing this for at least 20 years, probably closer to 30. If we are running late, as in harvest, most will put in an extra sandwich or something to eat about dark. Or if close to town, we might go pick up supper if anyone is available that can break loose and go. We don't have an over abundance of help, so picking anything up is the exception rather than SOP. When working around the shop, we usually just take off an hour for lunch. Everyone leaves to eat and comes back. Works good for us. |
