Northeast Nebraska | First thing is that those 2 tire sizes arent going to have the same footprint.
I think manufactures are going with bigger tires mostly for load bearing properties. Bigger tires can carry more weight. Also need the bigger tires for bigger footprint for traction and less compaction.
They not putting bigger tires on them to look cool or go faster. Sorry this doesn't answer your question.
I'm no engineer, but I don't think you are loosing torque. Maybe you are only getting .5 mph more because of the gear. Next gear is probably too fast, and gear lower is too slow. | |
