Texas/New Mexico Stateline | Did anybody work in town this week? The other day I went to town to take care of a few odd jobs. Not Friday, not the Monday after Christmas.
Bank: "oh he will be out until Monday"
Welding shop #1: "oh he will be out until Monday"
Welding shop #2: closed sign in door.
Today I needed a small part from our little NAPA. Closed.
Sent an email during the week for Tech support on something, have yet to hear back. "Guaranteed to get back within 48 hours" yeah right. Not this week looks like.......
Was expecting a shipment of chemical this week, they even called about it on Tuesday I think. Said they would bring it in a day or two. So in the back of my mind I have been thinking I ought to be ready to unload it. Haven't heard back....
Seems like the only business open and really going are big retail outlets. Not really a big deal, but if I had important stuff to do this week it would be pretty frustrating. |
