I can't remember, did you get your box made in Canada, or was it an early American version? Apparently the American company uses cheaper steel in the undercarriage (on the smaller boxes anyway) and guys here are having trouble with them.
As for the original question, I think the Hagedoorn is also a good spreader. We bought a Leon, very similar to the Hagedoorn, but seems to be built a big cheaper. lighter steel, less hardware where there should be more. Does a decent job, but I would prefer vertical beaters or spinners.
