Subject: RE: iGrade Installation Question

We will be using it to cut in ditches to eliminate some water holes on some of our flatter ground.  We will probably at some point see how it will work with making some of the terraces drain a little better.

It will be mainly mounted on an old Heil carry-all scraper that has been around the farm for a long time.  It started its life as with cable lift and then got upgraded to hydraulics.  Now it gets RTK and automatic grade control!  Sure the engineers that designed it wouldn't have dreamed about that.  It will probably get switched some as well to our Landall pull-type grader blade.

Do you use the SWP+ add-on for Apex?  I played around alittle with it today and wasn't necessarily impressed.  I realize you can drive the ditch with the tractor and make a profile on the go, but it some of our flat, flat ground, it's not obvious where the low spots neccessarily are and so being able to design on the computer would be nice.  It would be nice if you had an elevation map of the field, that the low points would get flagged or marked quickly or easily.
