The seeder itself probably weighs 15,000lbs. The cart looks to be a 3 tank model so probably holds anywhere from 340-470bu of material. 340 x 60lb = 20,000lb full plus the weight of the cart itself. There are no brakes anywhere but there IMO the carts should have some sort of an electric or hyd. brake on the main axle. Would prevent a lot of this from happening. Apparently this is a common occurence on the "tow-behind" models (cart is behind the seeding unit). It happened here just last fall. Operator ripped the arm rest off the seat he was so scared as the tractor was going around. Never heard of such a thing happening with a tow between cart.
