I don't recall the '06 or '56 series cabs, but do remember the great whoopla with the roll out of the '66 series. The cab was all tarped off like a silhouette - sat on dealers lot for what seemed like a few months before the unvailing . . .  wasn't all that good of a cab, as compared to the JD sound guard.
How does this rambling tie into your post? Well, I recall the rumbleings about the crappy cab on the '06-'56 and this was supposed to blow it away . . . . I wasn't impressed and I was only about 9 yrs old or so . .. .
