S W KS | I have a 8400 that sqeaked so bad when i bought it at a farm sale I had to stop on the way home and fix it. I had the piece of sheet metal on the back of the hood rubbing the glass. I took a zip tie and tied it back to the steel lines so there is a good inch of clearence between the glass and the hood. Then I found the wiring harness that was running in the same area was rubbing the glass too. I also wire tied that back. It was still squeaking so i zip tied all of the autosteer hose down that were rubbing on the bottom of the cab. I thought i had it fixed untill i hit the first sprinkler track, then it went to sqeaking again. I finally found some stuff called Squeak Out. I took a small screw driver and pryed the window seal back and spray sqeak out all around the window seal. It quit for a long time, then i finally found out that the squeak was actually coming from behind the lights in front of the windshield. I took the light brackets off and spray sqeak out on the brackets and rubber pads. I put it all back together and it hasnt sqeaked a bit since. That was 300 hrs ago. | |
