I have seen quit a few guys going into standing corn stalks with airdrills this spring. One farmer was using a Morris at probably 10 or 12 inch spacing, the other was using a Bourgault with 9.8 inch spacing. Both farmers went into the corn stalks at a slight angle. However the were not seeding when they went across the field, they only placed fertilizer and when they were finished they planted the fields to corn.
