Generally speaking an open shoulder tire on OTR trucks does not last. Closed shoulder is the only way to go. Now I don't know how you use your truck as far as miles and roadways are concerned so apply that advice to your operation as you see fit.

As for the chinese truck tires, You won't be able to balance them and get a smooth ride out of them. Again, if your mostly off blacktop and short trips. Probably won't matter. But then for what tires cost today if that is the case, perhaps finding a good used set is the ticket. Hold onto your wallet when you goto price tires. They have shot through the roof.

I put on 8 new drives and polished 6 rims on a customers truck the other day and the bill was almost 4500 bucks.
