Fairbury, NE (Southeast)
Put in a 42 * 9 ring sukup 10" unload/powersweep, big spreader 20 hp fan, ordered 17 extra yards concrete (extra rebar) about 1.35/bu. with concrete and electrical installed. The only labor I did was dump the fill sand by the sight. Interestingly, the cost was very comparable per bushel to a smaller GSI we did 12 years ago.

Don't have a clue about vertical augers. Most around here are rusted out or taken off. Whatever you do, don't skimp on concrete or rebar. Have cleaned out way too many bins with shcitt bucket concrete jobs. You need to ask the guy what he's going to drop in the mud, more iron the better. Lots of rebar in the footings. Dig the footings another 12" deeper than they want to. You won't regret it.
