Hoxie, KS, Northwest Kansas | Ed i cant speak for your area but if I had a good stand of wheat i wouldnt tear it up if you paid me. the reason i say this is im fortunate to have a good stand of wheat (irrigated). there are many guys around here that are already talking bout tearing up their wheat for milo the reason being they never got wheat to even come out the ground in spots. around here and supposivly the whole west half of the wheat belt the crop is horrible. i look around at look at our wheat (i know we arent a big player) but i forsee a rise in wheat markets because we will produce vary little if things dont change fast (wheat seeds sprouted in little moisture then died from lack of continuing moisture). I would sit on my hands and wait til march 1 like another poster said but that is just my humble opinion. however you decide keep us informed i enjoy reading your posts and how things are going for you. |
