Ed, I know I am down south of you but I can lock in $7.50 for wheat and 12.50 for beans. These are great prices and if a freeze doesn't get me I can make good wheat on my upland. Double crop beans here can be all over the board with yields, if we get some late huricanes dc beans can out yield full season beans. I plant a lot of rye for cover crops and try to keep most of my land covered, but where I have a good wheat/soybean mulch on the ground I don't worry much if I don't get rye planted back. I like to notill corn behind a wheat/soybean crop. A 70-80 bu wheat crop sure does help the cash flow in the summer, keeps me away from the bank. Wilson
