| The trash whippers will take care of soybean straw fairly well, but will do it better if you had a front straight coulter to cut the straw so the leftover long straws don't hair pin with the seed opener coulters. I used the front coulters to open a slit a couple inches from the row and ran 32% down the slit with a very thin ammonia knife. So that front straight coulter (stolen from my plow) did two jobs. The seed opener coulters then closed that slit. Jim at Dawn convinced me the front straight coulter made the trash whipper work better, and it did.
