I think that is what Wisconsin or Michigan does or did. You must shoot a doe and bring it in to be checked and then you get a buck tag. As more of the out of state hunters come in the larger our deer population will become. Guides want more deer not less. Once we eliminate all of the local hunters then we will be in trouble. I have a guy and his son that I let hunt on some of mine. They like deer meat and usually shoot 2-3 does. I will have 3 tags for the doe season. A doe is much better than a stinky old buck.
