We have them that circle the sections here, but they usually stay out of the field. A couple of years ago the DNR put out a decoy on a neighbor's 80 about 300 yards off the road. In four hours 8 different people shot at it - they only caught 5 (must of taken some coffee breaks). Only one was a local - all were using rifles (we are in the shotgun zone). I had a guy shoot at me from the road, across a field, on November 14 one year (day befor gun season). I was walking in at dusk from bow hunting. By the time I got to the house, into my truck and over to where he was - he was gone. So nothing suprises me. |
