They are like a swiss army knife. Very versatile but not really good at anything. If you can tolerate the old IH flaws and intend to use it lightly its not too bad. I have one that I've bought about 4 times over in repairs and tires. If I had it to do again I would have bought a newer tractor instead of buying a cheap old one.
