Subject: Re: anyone use va healthcare only?

Fayetteville Arkansas
I have lifetime health care at VA. If anything is needed and they can't provide it within 30 days then a group called Humana Veterans Healthcare Services steps in and arranges the services to fill the 30 day obligation. An example of this....I had a little scare with a lateness in September and told my VA doctor, within 30 days I was "fixed" at a private facility in Fayetteville, total costs $8 for a vasectomy. VA does have some of the finest specialist in the world and tries alot of "new" and "experimental" procedures....some have worked on me and some haven't but overall I'm very impressed with the care that I have received. When I had a heart attack 5 years ago I was sent to a heart hospital here for four days with surgery...total cost on that was $400. I think if you are in the VA care system, no matter what group, you should use the services as it is a form of payment for sacrifices you have made. I think that greed and salesmanship is what you will find in the specialist outside the VA walls.
