Near Richmond, IN
Mine is currently $376/ month for me only and I'm 61. It's high deductible and hasn't paid for a thing yet--nothing has even applied to the deductible yet. I guess I have to go into the hospital for it to apply anything to the ded.

I still think the best solution is everyone have no insurance at all. Then everyone would think about what they wanted to pay for before they had it done, people would get more selective and then I would imagine that due to competition , prices would come down. When I was young no one had insurance and we seemed to be able to afford to pay our medical bills. Heck, Dad even went to the Mayo clinic and paid it himself back in the late 50's-and it wasn't that he was rich, just the charges were reasonable. To compare---what do you think everyone would eat if they had "food insurance"? They'd all eat steak and the insurance would be priced accordingly.
