North Central Kansas
One of the comments says that they run a 3000 head dairy in Wisconsin. I don't like the overpopulation of deer but this is sick. Bringing out of state hunters into Kansas for deer hunting has not helped control the population one bit. Most of those people are not interested in killing does which is the only way you control the deer herd. They are only after the big bucks. Alot of ground around here has been leased up by guides who cater to out of state hunters. They don't shoot any does. The people who push the out of state hunters is the Kansas Dept of Wildlife and Parks and the travel and tourism industry. Alot of locals don't hunt deer here any more because they don't have a place to hunt.

Those look like mule deer. We used to have a good sized herd of mule deer around here until we had a bunch of stupid hunters who shot all of them. They aren't the smartest deer compared to a whitetail. They probably used the excuse that they were chasing coyotes with the dogs. Have seen that before around here. Dog hunters don't care about property rights. Years ago there was a guy that had a V shaped cutter on the front of his pickup that would funnel the wires to a sharp knife that would cut the wires. My dad caught them once doing that. They got to fix fence that day.
