Central South Dakota
We pay part-time $13.50/hr and pay for drive time home to work 1 way, you keep track of your own hours, on the honor system. (have pretty good idea if anyone is lying). Year round employee, $2800/month, vehicle and gas to and from work, 1/2 beef per year, and we pay 1 once per month but figure it every 2 weeks and then give them there 13month check for christmas/ holidays, 2 weeks vacation. Plus a bonus depending on the year. Had a larger operator tell me once that they put$ XXXXX in a fund, lined the employee's up and said this is everybody's bonus to split up at the end of the year, but if someone tears equipment up or destroys something because of stupidity, it gets paid for out of the bonus fund. Said it made people pay a lot closer attention to things.
