Idaho | We have a couple of each, 285 270 305 and had a 285 with the suspended axle, also 8230 8330 8430 8530. I do like the cab on the mx's if any of the electronics would stay working or work at all. The 30 series cab is a little smaller yes but the r series is more comparable to the mx's. Our 8230 will out pull our 285 any day of the week on any equipment I contribute most of it to the transmission being able to find the perfect speed to the use the power. Also when you hit a hard spot while tilling the ivt will slip into auto and sometimes the 305 in auto shift will not power shift quick enough and kill the engine. The mx's aren't bad but for our operation the 30 series have been great with fewer break downs. We have not tried a 335 but our 8530's have run much better than our 305. | |
