Pofarmer - 12/10/2010 12:05 I have an area that is 36x45 that I heat intermittently. I would heat it all the time, but the center section is divided by a curtain. Anyway, looking at a 125K Sunstar heater from Farmtek. Forced air would be a little cheaper, but, I'm just not that crazy about a forced air heater. Currently using Salamander type heaters, one 150,000 btu on a thermostat does real well on all but the coldest days, but, I'm getting tired of the noise and fumes, and the diesel bill is a killer. Why ? They would be a better choice, if portability isn't neccessary. You have the torpedo type diesel heater for that, so a tube heater would be more effecient and have all the other advantanges you listed. The Val6 products (and knock off's ) would do the trick also and have the portablitiy. The Val6 infrared are much more fuel effeciant then the salamander torpedo types - but not as effeciant as propane or Nat gas infrared tube heater, if run 24/7 . . . Now, the one from FarmTek . . . . who makes them for them? Grainger has them, as you probably know. Grainger has very good quality. http://www.v40heater.com/ http://www.mitm.com/products/s/kerosene-radiant/portable-heaters/41/ http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200395538_200395538 http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/gas-infrared-tube-heaters/heating-equipment/hvacr/ecatalog/N-8z3
