2002 down. 6NZ engine designation. The MBN isthe "bridge" engine before the Acert. It's better than the Acert IMO, but worse on fuel than a 6NZ. The cam, injectors and computer in the MBN can be swapped with 6NZ numbers. That swap will pay for itself in fuel if yiu run enough miles yearly.
