Don't need them one on a framed dump, the fifth wheel plate on a frameless dump will pivot, and if the fifth wheel on the truck is not pinned, they will flop back and forth. You do not want to drive a truck and trailer with that kind of movement. I bet if they are frameless, there is something in place to limit that pitch.
