Maybe what they need to develop is some type of air bag that would activate on impact to push the object being hit away from the train, to one side or the other. I suppose the railroad would get sued if the car or truck driver got whiplash.... instead of being ground into hash under the train.
OUCH!!! Bet the Train Driver needed new shorts!
