ECIL | In some cities the panhandlers will work the subways and streets begging for some change. Some will go home with over $60K over the year, tax free, and untraceable. In one city our family was visiting a group of street performers entertained the line we were standing in with some acrobatics. I only gave them half a look, knowing how it would end. When they were done they went down the line looking for "donations". And of course one of them was saying "Gimme money! I love money! More, more money!" They got nothing from me but a quick glance. It does harden a person at times. In a city I ignore them all. In a rural area it is more likely to be for real, such as stuck in the snow or a flat tire. | |
