| I agree. The ring is a symbol not a contest. No matter if you get a 4,000 dollat ring or a 100 dollar one, they both mean the same. Getting the high dollar one is like buying the fanciest piece of machinery. All you do is try to impress the neighbors. That is not what buying a ring is all about. Money should never be a factor as it is the symbol of what two people want for life. If a woman expects a big fancy high dollar diamond for the occasion... what does she expect next? Hope that does not make the ladies mad here! But gee, why does a symbol have to have a price tag. If a husband came home and said our neighbor just got a new combine, we need one even though ours does what it can do just fine. What would be the answer? I try and live life simple and to the point. If I have to spend several thousand dollars to prove to a woman that I love her and want to spend the rest of my life with her, then it makes me wonder what does she really want? | |
