| With stories like that, I would start asking questions and see if their story holds water.
Did you report it to the police?
Who did you talk to?
Want me to call the cops?
Mind if I call and check with the police to see if they found the guy?
Usually by this time, the story is falling apart and they are backpeddling pretty quickly. I don't mind helping those in need but refuse to be scammed.
