| When I was young, My Grandfather told me if you put salt on a birds tail, you could catch it with your hand. I never understood how that could work and never tried.
When my son was about 5, I told him the same thing and he spent the better part of 2 days walking around the yard with the kitchen salt shaker trying to get close enough to a bird to salt his tail. he never got it done but wife got tired of having to go and retrieve the salt shaker from him to cook meals.
Pretty cheap entertainment for him and me.
