The way Vick got rid of dogs is not how I would have done it, my take on it is he tried to get rid of them and used the ways he knew. If he had put them in a burlap bag and tied them to a car exhaust pipe, would he have gotten in trouble? What if he had shot them? He could have dropped them off at a pound, then whoever runs the pound would have had them put down. He could have simply took them to a different section of town and dumped them-believe it or not, that happens sometimes. IMO, Vick was made an example of. His real crime was ignorance of better ways to accomplish the needed end. If law enforcement really wanted to make a difference, all of Vick's accomplices would be in jail also....as well as the other folks involved in dogfighting. I didn't think he would be able to recover as an athlete after such an extended layoff. I am glad to see that he did, as much as I don't like the Eagles or Andy Reid. |
