Dickinson isn't quite that bad. A $100k house 5 years ago is $140k today. That's a 40 year old house with three bedrooms and a 1-2 car garage.
As far as driver pay, a hazmat, double-triple, tanker driver can maKe $80k working the full 60 hours a week. Home every night, but you will work weird hours; chain up/off all the time, and stand out in the -20 weather watching your truck fill.
