NEIN | they never pay a great return to time on a small scale and lets face it the long term trend is away from red meat. I too am 48 and would like to retire young but the key is to have so much equity or income producing assets that it is just not practical. I am hoping to be able to one day rent my land base for a good cash income but really who knows when it could be 1983 again. I just keep thinking, When in history have farmers had more than 30 years of prosperity in a row? Maybe we are near a cycle top? I am just saying play it safe. | |
