Consider custom work or just laboring for someone else in the slow times on your farm. Since you are a cattle operation, offer to run tractor or grain truck for one of your cropping neighbors. Get to be a crop farmer without all the expense. Maybe they will let you use their equipment if you want to crop that 200 acres.
