| Kansas City has something similar AND it WAS built with public money. When they expanded Bartle Hall downtown there was a "mandate" slipped in that said new structures must use a certain % of the total cost of the project for "artistic enhancements" That's where the space mixers came from that sit atop the 4 towers on Bartle Hall. Total waste of money from word one.
Just because that money came from the casino's doesn't mean it's best use of for worthless crap like that. That kind of money could have gone a long ways filling up food pantries etc. for those less fortunate. | |
