NW Washington | Since having two kids who worked as waiters and bar tenders during college I tend to be more generous. Most of the time I just double the first number on the bill, that is if the bill is $42 I put out $8 as a tip, but if it was $48 I would probably go to $9 or $10. But I agree, if it is not a full service operation I don't feel as obligated to cough up close to 20% for table busing.
But as my son used to say, don't PO the last person handling your food. | |
