"I never had a sleepless night in my life, until I was a school board member."
Certain school boards, I suspect, are made up of "good ole boys" that don't necessarily operate with common sense and a desire to be fiscally responsible. I don't know about you, but it would drive me nuts to try to be sensible and productive in that environment. That's why my accountant didn't run for reelection after his first term in office as a school board member expired.
